| The 11
square block area named Altadena is located in North Park, one of
the oldest communities in San Diego, California (see red star
on right map). The original subdivision map for Altadena
was filed in 1913 and homes followed shortly thereafter. Many
of the sidewalk date stamps bear dates in the 1910's, 1920's, and
1930's. The Craftsman & Spanish Bungalows that make up
Altadena and its proximity to Balboa Park, the world famous San
Diego Zoo, and Downtown San Diego, make it a most desirable place
to live. |

| The
green area on the map below shows the exact location of Altadena.
The red start indicates the site of the "median park,"
an original feature of the community, which will be restored in
the near future. |
